Holiday Cleanup Ideas

Cleaning up after the holidays can be a daunting task. I’m ready for it though after hosting multiple get-togethers with friends and family. It’s a great way to start off 2024 as well. Get organized and straightened out before the start of the New Year.

Here are some of my tried and true organizing tools that you may already have (like cardboard), or may want to invest in.

Plastic containers to use in larger bins.

These are great for mini ornaments, garland, and small decor.

Stackable Container Bins

I love these because they have lids that are already attached to them. How many containers have you bought and had to search for the top of the lid to fit the box. Exhausting and so frustrating.

Put ornaments in these cups

Then, use any kind of box you might have, but label everything!

Cardboard

To separate “trays” of ornaments and stored in large bins

Large Ziplock Bags

Large Storage Bags

Great for loose non-breakable ornaments, small faux floral arrangements or any smaller items that you don’t need to be using year-round.

Wreath Protectors

Clear Plastic Trash Bags

I love to put over small holiday trees, more delicate faux flowers for easy storage and being able to identify items when it’s time to bring them out again.

As we welcome 2024, I wish you all a happy, prosperous and most importantly healthy New Year! 2023 has been an interesting one and I’m looking forward to ringing in the New Year!
