Featured Retailer - West Elm

I’ve become a fan of West Elm’s aesthetic and unique designs from this retailer born of Pottery Barn and William Sonoma. West Elm seems to be targeting a customer with a more contemporary vibe than its sister companies.

Here are a few items I am loving right now!

For the Space Cadet

I love this mobile and think it would be great in a child or grandchild’s room who has a passion for solar systems and planets. Fly me to the moon with this mobile, I’m on for the ride.

 Mobile Yourself

OK, here’s another one I couldn’t resist using in a client’s home in a corner above a chair. Doesn’t it look great? It’s so interesting and mobiles offer great feng shui where movement is needed to stir up and move energy. Love!

Wallpaper

I don’t immediately think of wallpaper when I’m shopping at West Elm, but this is an interesting one with great texture. I’d suggest you order a sample because although it says “green” as the color, I may be color-blind (not) but it reads more of a blue to me. Check before you commit.

Wallpaper Part 2

Ok, here’s a great graphic, black and white wallpaper I’m seriously considering using in one of my bathrooms. What do you think of the labyrinth pattern? It gives me an art deco vibe I just love.

Wallpaper Part 3

OK, I had no idea what a rabbit hole I was going down here, but this is an ideal situation to want a temporary fix for a backsplash in a bathroom or kitchen. The classic hexagon shaped pattern never goes out of style.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

I love the simplicity of this bathroom mirror and built-in shelf. I’m also crushing on antique brass and champagne gold right now.

Extra Bed Needed

Look no further than this mid-century modern sleeper sofa. It’s a great price point and very unique looking. Not your run of the mill sleep sofa for sure.

Two for the Price of One

I love dual functional furniture pieces and this round coffee table doesn’t disappoint. I love the shape of it – it’s not easy to find the right sized round coffee table for some reason – and the fact that you can display coffee table books, artwork, or other mementos is an added bonus!

Bedding that Screams Summer

I love this look for a coastal property or in a warmer climate or season. There’s something about it that is reminiscent of summertime for me. It’s subtle, but it’s there.

Under Your Feet

I love a great kitchen runner in front of a sink or cooking area. This one brings many colors to bear so if you’re not quite sure about choosing an accent color in your kitchen you have many options to choose from in this runner.

Bring the Outdoors In . . .

With these landscapes throw pillows.  In three amazing color palettes, these will stand out among other more subtle patterned toss pillows.

These are 10 of the items I think are worth considering at West Elm (and so many more depending on your needs and tastes). I hope you’ll check them out. Tell them I sent you!
